What Is Pulse?
Pulse is a modification (or Mod for short) for the first person shooter game Half-Life. Half-Life won many Game of the Year awards the year it was released and its creators, Valve Software, have created three sequels since. You might be wondering, "What is a game modification (Mod)?" Well, a Mod, as defined by ModDB, is a term generally applied to a customized (or altered) computer game made by the general public. A mod can range from a total conversion of a game with new gameplay, look and feel to some minor alterations which could include new models, weapons, maps etc. There are plenty of types and tons of styles and a mod can be anything the creators want it to be. So, on this website, you will find loads of information on Pulse.

Our Goals
Our goals with Pulse are to make a Mod that is almost as long as Half-Life was. This has only been done a few times by modders and has never been done by a one-man Mod team, like Pulse's Mod team currently is. We also want to make a quality Mod and include interesting level architecture and intense yet enjoyable gameplay in it. We want the average Half-Life player to look at Pulse as the next Sweet Half-Life-type Mod. Of course, being a one-man Modding team, it takes a lot of dedication to do this. However, I enjoy doing it and I do have occasional help from acquaintances along the way. I would also like to thank Valve ERC and Verc Collective and its forum community for giving me support and answering my questions when I needed it.

I have worked very hard on this new website design and on Pulse itself and its currently released demos and I would really appreciate your feedback! This website offers two options to leave feedback for us: a comment box for quick commenting; or our forums where you can register for free and then post messages in the official Pulse forums with our other members. Either commenting method is fine with us and you can comment us on our website design, Pulse itself and its demos or anything else you'd like including suggestions and requests.
